I am working on "Choke" by Chuck Palahniuk. It is about a guy, whose name is Victor Mancini, a medical-school drop. He has to pay elder care for his mother, but he doesn't have enough money. So he had created an interesting scam. He pretends to "choke" on pieces of food while dining in fancy restaurants. He then allows himself to be "saved" by fellow patrons who, feeling responsible for Victor's life, go on to send checks to support him. The sentences are usually short and sweet. And it is full of bizarre epsodes that he experiences.
I've been reading "If tomorrow comes" by Sidney Sheldon for more one month. I really like it but I'm very sorry I don't have enough time to read it. ㅜ.ㅜ
Recently, I read 'Chicken Soup for Teacher Soul'. I bought it to read during my honeymoon and I read almost half of them during that time. But I even didn't open it after arriving here. I think I have to start reading it again.
Hi Claire, I've been reading Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond. It examines why some areas of the world have so much while others have so little. It's very detailed and complicated so I read it a little at a time.
Hi, Claire, How is your weekend? Good, so so, wonderful? This weekend I did a great job. As you know, I hate to go to doctor's. But today I went to 2 kinds of hospital. It was praiseworthy for me. Anyway, these days I read the book 'the purpose driven life'. It is about Bible. Actually I don't like relion. But I realize truely how weak and fragile human-being is. So I have interest in Bible and try to read Bible. I nearly cried with the words,'The God created me for a special purpose'. I don't know if it is true or not. But I really want to believe that. And Claire I like the crown you made for me. I really thank you for it. See you on Monday!
